Plenty of painters can spread paint, and a few do it well and clean up after themselves. It is rare that technicians are trained and experienced in multiple ways to create special finishes. When I decided it was time this summer to paint the exterior of my home in Farmington, I secured bids from a number of painting contractors including Renaissance. Even though their bid was among the two highest I received, I chose to go with them because they offered not just a simple power wash and painting but a plan for a complete restoration of my home's exterior. This made sense to me since the exterior of my home was in very bad shape - chipped and peeling paint, open seams, warped boards, and uneven joints in my vertical siding, even dry rot in places. We were introduced to Renaissance over 20 years ago when we were doing a major renovation of our home. The project involved treating virtually all interior and exterior surfaces including the cedar shingle roof that was cleaned and treated with a special preservative.
